At Uncle Ray’s, we have perfected a precise way of doing EVERYTHING! In our business, we have found that PEOPLE make the difference in how customers feel about coming to our store. That is the reason we spend a substantial amount of time and money in training our people so that they know exactly what and how to do how to it!
Sometimes new teammates ask us when training ends. The answer is NEVER. That would be like asking when do we stop being great. Trying to be great goes on and on and never stops. Our mother used to say, “You’re only as good as your last ice cream cone- so make the next one even better!” We are always striving to improve and get better – and we will.

This means we are committed only to the thousands of tiny details that have made us great for over 35 years. As they say at Uncle Ray’s, EVERYTHING is IMPORTANT!
DETAILS like … how we drive 2 miles an hour in the parking lot. How we acknowledge customers eating a treat at our outside tables as we walk in through our front door on our way into work. How neat and tidy we look while we are on stage. Is your hair combed? Are you freshly bathed? Are guys cleanly shaved? Are your shirts clean and ironed? Are they tucked in ? Are your shorts clean? Ask yourself, “Do I look great?”
The EXACT way you talk to guests is critical. How you work with URGENCY. How a treat is Presented flair to a customer. And the extra special THANK YOU! And a great big smile that goes with it. These are all details. These details are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to Uncle Ray’s and the iconic reputation the store has built by serving thousands of extremely happy customers.
Remember this, we have been working more than 30 years to build our brand and our reputation. We do this day in and day out because we are very aware that it takes just five seconds to ruin our reputation and loose everything we’ve built.
