Making Coolers

You have heard of the Boston Cooler which is made with our soft serve ice cream and Vernors ginger ale.  We also offer our coolers made with a selection of several pop flavors  –

This video will demonstrate the techniques and key steps for making these coolers.

Tour of the Machine

In the beginning of the video, you’ll be given a brief tour of the three machines involved:

  • soft serve dispensing machine
  • the pop machine
  • and the blender.

You’ll learn about what each does and the various parts that you’ll be using to control the process.

Safety Concerns

Fortunately, there are no safety hazards or concerns with the soft serve dispenser.

Tags and Job Aids – Key Steps in the Process

In this video, we’ll use the Training Tags and Job Aids that identify the key steps in the process of making the cone.  Listen for them and watch for them on the machine as you watch the video.

Here are the Training Tags and key steps for creating the coolers:

  • “Straw and Lid”
  • “Land It, Don’t Hand It.”

On with the Show

With this as background information, take a close look at the process of making our coolers. We start at the very beginning with an order announcement, “Regular Boston Cooler”. We’ll remind you about repeating the order loud enough for the cashier to hear and to confirm the details of the order.
