In this video demonstration, we’ll show you the basics steps for making an Uncle Ray’s old-fashioned soda. It was popular in the 1930s and 40s across the country. Unfortunately after many years, there’s only a handful of places that serve it today. As you will see, the classic version is rather labor-intensive. But for true soda fans, it’s well worth the wait.
Here are the major steps:
- selecting the container
- creaming the chocolate flavor with ice cream
- adding the soda and blending it with the flavor paste
- adding the scoop of the soft serve ice cream
- inserting a spoon and straw
- flavor options other than chocolate
