Classic Chocolate Soda

In this video demonstration, we’ll show you the basics steps for making an Uncle Ray’s old-fashioned soda. It was popular in the 1930s and 40s across the country.  Unfortunately after many years, there’s only a handful of places that serve it today.  As you will see, the classic version is rather labor-intensive.  But for true soda fans, it’s well worth the wait.

  • selecting the container
  • creaming the chocolate flavor with ice cream
  • adding the soda and blending it with the flavor paste
  • adding the scoop of the soft serve ice cream
  • inserting a spoon and straw
  • flavor options other than chocolate
