In this video demonstration, we’ll show you the basics steps for making a soft serve Blast. It is easily our second most popular treat, made with soft serve ice cream and a choice of candies, M&Ms, Reese’s Pieces, Heath Bar, Turtle, Snicker’s Bar, Chocolate Chips, Oreo Mint Cookie, Almond Joy, Cookie Dough, Banana Split, Cheese Cake, Butter Finger, Nestle’s Crunch, Brownie, Whopper Malt Balls, or Nerds. The candies are gently blended and evenly distributed throughout the ice cream. An amazing combination!
Tour of the Machine
In the beginning of the video, you’ll be given a brief tour of two machines that are used in the creation of the Blast: the soft serve dispenser and the blender. You’ll learn about what they do and the various parts that you’ll be using to control the process.
Safety Concerns
There is one minor safety concern and it involves the blender which has a mixing spindle. Like the shake machine there are two flat blades at the end of the spindle. Big difference — the Blast blades are made of soft rubbery plastic so they won’t cut. So the only concern is entanglement with the spinning action grabbing any cloth or loose decorative items on or in your hands.
